Desalination is the process of taking salt out of water or soil. This helps to increase the amount of water that we can use, because it turns saltwater into freshwater. Table salt is also produced through desalination.

Desalination In the Soil
The process of removing salt from soil is called salinity control. This process is used to rid high amounts of salt out of heavy salted areas in farming regions. These regions are mostly irrigated areas in arid and semi arid places. When the water in these farms are evaporated, salt it left behind. Drainage is the primary source of getting the salt out of the areas.

How Desalination Works
In a desalination plant, the salt water is heated into container so the water will evaporate and leave the salt behind. After that, the desalinated vapor is then condensed into a seperate container to form water once again. There are several other ways to desalinate water. Other techniques include electrodialysis, thermal desalination, and reverse osmosis.

Desalination Processes
There are 3 different desalination processes, reverse osmosis, thermal distillation, and finally electodialysis. Reverse osmosis is whenever saltwater is pressed through a sort of membrane that will trap the salt and sends out regular water. Thermal distillation is really easy to understand. The saltwater is boiled until the only thing left is salt, and the water vapor is collected to drink. Finally, electodialysis is whenever salt is removed by seperating and collecting the salt's chemical components.

Now, when informing you about desalination, you should be aware that this whole process is
out of your water

which is always good to know. I would like to tell you that Chuck Norris has been here as told by this picture...
But he has also been here....
